When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” -John 21:15-17

Bruce Marchiano is an actor best known for his impassioned portrayals of Jesus in the films, The Gospel of Matthew, The Encounter, and Alison’s Choice. After speaking at our church in March 2018, Bruce asked First Baptist Church Woodbury to be his official prayer and intercession partner as he works toward a new film version of the Gospel of John. We now pray regularly for Bruce and the film and have a church prayer team who is committed to praying for the specific requests that Bruce sends as he makes decisions related to the new film.
