Bro. Dean is originally from Joelton, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy (1978), Vanderbilt University (B.A. 1981), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1984, D.Min. 2009). He has also served at the Baptist Sunday School Board, the First Baptist Church of Joelton, and Trenton Baptist Church, Trenton, Kentucky. He and his wife Cindy have two daughters, Cara Anderson and Abby Carter, and three grandchildren, Kage, Kayson, and Kinsley Carter.

Tammy, “Gigi” by those closest to her, and her husband, Bob, are natives to the Midwest. God guided them to Tennessee in 1992 where they lived in Murfreesboro until 2021.  They now make their home in Woodbury.  Their union of 40 years has bestowed them with 4 children and 8 grandchildren of whom are their greatest treasures.  They have spent their lives serving and assisting others whether it be at home, in the church, or in the workplace.

Bro. Rhett is a native of Woodbury and a graduate of Cannon County High School. Having grown up at First Baptist he answered the call to ministry in 2011 working as intern to Dr. Julian Suggs. Upon Dr. Suggs retirement in 2012 he took over as Minister of Music and in September of 2017 was ordained by the church to the gospel ministry. In addition to his ministry at the church, he also works as an Auto Injury Claims Associate for State Farm in Murfreesboro. When not serving at First Baptist or fulfilling his duties at State Farm, he loves to spend time with his wife, Brittany, and their son, Beckett.

Bro. Tony was born in Warren County, Tennessee and graduated from Warren County Senior High School in 1984. He accepted his call to ministry at the age of 17. He is Married to his wife of 33 years, Melissa Jean Thomas Burnett. He has a son Thomas and Daughter-In-Law Amber Campbell Burnett.

He served the Town of Woodbury from 1994 – 2005 as an officer and served as Chief of Police from 2005 – 2012. Tony was a DARE Officer, School Resource Officer and investigated crimes against children and domestic crimes. These roles have intensified a heart for youth.

In 2012, Tony began his career with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office where he began by serving as the Middle TN Region Law Enforcement Liaison. Tony serves as the Drug Recognition Expert State Coordinator and the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Coordinator for the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

He has served as Pastor of four churches and served as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church from 2004 until 2014. After serving as Pastor of Hollow Springs Community Church for four years, he returned to First Baptist in 2018 where he now serves part time as Director of Youth Ministry.

Julie is a native of Georgia but calls Tennessee home. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She was in Sales for over the past ten years before being blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. She is married to Matt Powers and have two daughters Arie and Adalind. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Woodbury since 2015.
