Bro. Dean is originally from Joelton, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy (1978), Vanderbilt University (B.A. 1981), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1984, D.Min. 2009). He has also served at the Baptist Sunday School Board, the First Baptist Church of Joelton, and Trenton Baptist Church, Trenton, Kentucky. He and his wife Cindy have two daughters, Cara Anderson and Abby Carter, and three grandchildren, Kage, Kayson, and Kinsley Carter.

Julie is a native of Denver, CO. She moved to Murfreesboro in 1976. She graduated from Riverdale High School in 1986 and from Middle Tennessee State University in May of 1991. In June of 1991, she married Mark Matheny. They now have two children, both of whom they are very proud! She has served as Secretary of First Baptist Church since October of 2011.

Bro. Rhett is a native of Woodbury and a graduate of Cannon County High School. Having grown up at First Baptist he answered the call to ministry in 2011 working as intern to Dr. Julian Suggs. Upon Dr. Suggs retirement in 2012 he took over as Minister of Music and in September of 2017 was ordained by the church to the gospel ministry. In addition to his ministry at the church, he also works as an Auto Injury Claims Associate for State Farm in Murfreesboro. When not serving at First Baptist or fulfilling his duties at State Farm, he loves to spend time with his wife, Brittany, and their son, Beckett.

Bro. Tony was born in Warren County, Tennessee and graduated from Warren County Senior High School in 1984. He accepted his call to ministry at the age of 17. He is Married to his wife of 33 years, Melissa Jean Thomas Burnett. He has a son Thomas and Daughter-In-Law Amber Campbell Burnett.

He served the Town of Woodbury from 1994 – 2005 as an officer and served as Chief of Police from 2005 – 2012. Tony was a DARE Officer, School Resource Officer and investigated crimes against children and domestic crimes. These roles have intensified a heart for youth.

In 2012, Tony began his career with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office where he began by serving as the Middle TN Region Law Enforcement Liaison. Tony serves as the Drug Recognition Expert State Coordinator and the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Coordinator for the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

He has served as Pastor of four churches and served as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church from 2004 until 2014. After serving as Pastor of Hollow Springs Community Church for four years, he returned to First Baptist in 2018 where he now serves part time as Director of Youth Ministry.

Glenda is a native of Coffee County and is a graduate of Auburntown High School. She has resided in Cannon County for forty-seven years and therefore calls it home. Glenda worked in a dental office many years, as a secretary and dental assistant. She was then employed by Stones River Hospital, HCA in Woodbury, Tn. as an administrative assistant and was later offered a job as Executive Assistant at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic located in Murfreesboro, Tn. Glenda retired in 2003 from MMC to take care of her Father in Law and enjoy being with her grandchildren. She is married to Richard A. Hunter, D.Ph., and they reside in Woodbury, Tn. Glenda and Richard have five children and eight grandchildren. She has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1982.
