Discipleship Training
ADULT DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING MEETS SUNDAYS AT 5:30 PM.
Discipleship Training is all about nurturing spiritual growth and guiding others to live out their faith with purpose and authenticity. Some widely recognized key principles are:
Intentionality – Discipleship doesn’t happen by accident. It requires a deliberate commitment to invest in others and help them grow in Christlikeness.
Relational Investment – It’s deeply personal. True discipleship happens through life-on-life relationships, not just through books or sermons.
Biblical Foundation – Teaching and applying Scripture is central. As Paul wrote in Colossians 1:28–29, discipleship involves “warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom” to present them mature in Christ.
Reproduction – A disciple is called to make more disciples. The goal isn’t just personal growth but multiplication—passing on what you’ve learned to others.
Christ-Centered Living – The ultimate aim is to become more like Jesus in character, priorities, and mission.
Obedience and Transformation – It’s not just about knowledge but about life change. Discipleship calls for obedience to Jesus’ teachings and a transformed lifestyle.
Discipleship isn’t done in our own strength. It relies on God’s power working through us, as Paul emphasized in his own ministry. So, if you’re thinking about starting or deepening your discipleship journey, Join us each Sunday Night at 5:30 PM in the Lydia Classroom. We’ll save a place for you.
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
The Senior Adult Ministry is intended to reach adults age 55 and older. This ministry seeks to connect with Senior Adults in the Cannon County/Woodbury area, to enhance their lives, to encourage them to grow in the Lord, and to challenge them to serve the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength.
Senior Adults are involved in every aspect of our church life, and we believe that Senior Adults deserve a place of honor and respect in the church. We also believe that people of every age, including seniors, have a vital role to play in serving Jesus through His Church. God doesn’t EVER want us to retire from serving Him!
